    Our goal is to have a major impact in how U.S. History is taught in classrooms and portrayed in media. After seeing Far East Deep South, we hope that when people learn and discuss segregation and exclusionary immigration laws, they will include the Asian American experience moving forward. We also want to continue to foster healing and bridge-building conversations on race. We hope by showing the long legacy that Asians have in America through our film, we can combat rising anti-Asian/anti-China sentiments. We’re grateful to have partnered with over 300 different organizations but there are so many more people we want to reach. 
    Putting on screenings and discussions at schools, museums, libraries and promoting the film requires a lot of resources. Many organizations lack the full resources needed to screen our film but they are often in areas of the country that need to have discussions around our film the most. 
    We invite you to partner with us so more people can see Charles Chiu's family's story. Contribute to our ongoing "Far East Deep South Across America" educational outreach that includes teacher training workshops, community screenings, presentations at conferences, and our First Class Initiative. Our First Class Initiative enables teachers at middle schools, high schools and community colleges to screen our film in their classes for the first time and engage their students in discussion with a study guide.
