Albatross is a non-profit comprised of professional recording artists and married couple, Daniel and Lauren Goans, whose mission is to offer help and care to other artists, particularly those pursuing careers in recorded music. They use the knowledge gained throughout their own journey as full-time career musicians and performers to advise, assist and offer specific encouragement and help to artists in various stages of their careers.

Typically, the artists they wind up supporting and befriending are those that they have met while performing all over the country. Some Albatross relationships take on the form of general mentorship and consultation about the music business or creative practice, while others evolve into deep friendships and ongoing collaborations. The goal of Albatross is to be a refreshing presence, sign of hope and a light in an industry and sub culture riddled with addiction, loneliness, depression, hopelessness, doubt, egotism and competition. Daniel and Lauren, having experienced much of this first hand, are uniquely equipped to step into these spaces as an encouraging, hospitable presence and practical support.
